Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Believe me, I get both. My prices are sorta middle-of-the-road because while I pay for the best tools and a well-built site that will enhance their business, I try to keep prices as reasonable as possible so small businesses can afford my services.

Most websites take 4-10 weeks to complete depending on the size, but I do not make guarantees beyond the design time (outlined in Packages & pricing above), because a big determining factor on timing is how long clients take to send over their material and their feedback after the first draft is submitted. The faster you move, the faster we go!

Sure! Most of my clients have never built a site before, so I make sure to show them what’s available, share inspiration and work with them to come up with the best structure for their site together.

Most sites will require branding details (such as logo, colours, etc.), photos and images, as well as written content for each page. Don’t have these on hand? No worries, we’ll work together to come up with something you can use.

For tech-savvy clients who want to be hands-on, I offer a walkthrough and training once the site has been built to show them how to properly maintain it. For others, I offer monthly and yearly maintenance packages, which includes minor updates. Major updates are handled similarly to web design projects, but billed at an hourly (US$75 / JM$10,000) or daily (US$250 / JM$30,000) rate.

Unfortunately, no. Many times, having an existing site can actually make my job a bit harder – especially if it wasn’t managed well. In some cases, it may save us a bit of time in drafting content, but will not reduce the scope of work or design time overall.

Short answer, yes – but search engine optimization (SEO) doesn’t end there. I can build a site using SEO best-practices – such as fast loading times, adding keywords to your copy, etc., – but if you wish to make your site truly search engine friendly, you will need to work on publishing regular content (i.e. blogs) and getting your site mentioned elsewhere on the Internet after it is built.
